Nikon Picture Project Free Download For Windows 7
I was just interested in seeing what people with D50 are using? I am having trouble working with the picture project software. Before this camera i used a sony 717 and loved the software that it came with to download pics from the cam to the comp. It was very easy and straight forward program. With my D50 i am finding that i don't like the download software. I have read the directions and such a couple times but i still cant seem to us it right. Is there any other software that i can use to download the pics from my cam to the comp?
First off, I agree with the other posters below, who have suggested you use the standard Windows file management to transfer your photos. Insert the card into your card reader, open it up in Explorer, and drag/drop (COPY, not Move) te files into the folder of your choice on your computer (My Pictures of whatever). That way you are in complete control of the process and not at the mercy of whatever strange default settings your transfer software might have. I'm a believer in not inserting additional software into the workflow.
Keep it simple and stay in control. Adam Mendonsa wrote: i have photo shop, can't remember what edtion. When i go in to open pic, i cant find pictures that i jus downloaded from my cam into my comp. Its kind of annoying. I am going to have to try and do it over step by step, maybe i did something wrong. I'm not sure what you mean by 'go in to open pic'. You'll need to be more specific - exactly what Photoshop function are you talking about?
Gotta go - more later. Nikon View (not View NX) has a simple but effective downloading facility called Nikon Transfer. It has useful a file renaming function including numbering sequentially with as many digits as you want (no 10,000 limit) which works as photographs are downloaded. It can detect when a card or card reader is plugged into your computer and it makes downloading to an existing or new folder pretty easy. Aventail vpn client download windows 7. I only reluctantly stopped using it because I could not make it work for two cameras.
